1. Receive the Quality Unit Award

1a. Attend Summer Camp. 1b. Maintain + One Troop membership 1c. Have a majority of Scouts advance during the year. 1d. Have a planned program. 1e. Conduct weekly meetings year round.

2. Have 4 new Eagle Scouts by the end of the program year.
|
2a. Require Eagle candidates to announce their project to the Troop after presentation to troop committee. 2b. Encourage the rest of the Troop to help out with projects. 2c. Focus on Eagle required merit badges as part of the monthly program. 2d. Ensure that all eligible Scouts that want leadership positions are elected to or placed in leadership positions in the troop.

3. Maintain current Troop membership and increase by at least 8 new boys in February from Pack bridgings.

3a. Help local District Packs by contacting their leaders and offering our assistance with flag ceremonies, arrow of light ceremonies and Blue and Gold Banquets. 3b. Encourage Scouts to become Den Chiefs. 3c. Recruit friends into the Troop. 3d. SPL to assign a scout (CC to assign adult Leader) as a liaison to each Pack. 3e. Strengthen our Webelos II relationships by providing a training (Activity Pin) for Webelos to visit out Troop. An adult position will be chosen by the Troop Committee to oversee this program. 3f. Provide a specific campout weekend for Webelos to camp with our Troop. 3g. This weekend will consist of basic, but fun, Scout activities.

4. Improve participation at meetings and events.

4a. Plan fun events for the year. 4b. Improve communication of and on events by calling patrol members to remind them of the event or meeting. 4c. Call friends who have become inactive, and ask them to come back.

5. Focus on First Class achievement in the first year of the new Scout.
|
5a. Improve Skills Instruction sections of the meetings. 5b. Add Skills Instruction to the monthly campout program. 5c. Balance making weekly games fun with focusing on skills. 5d. Have one campout with mandatory open fire cooking as soon as possible after new scouts have bridged and before summer camp.

6. Have a high adventure program for older Scouts.
|
6a. Conduct Hi Adventure planning conference (after Troop Planning Conference) – target min. 4 outings. 6b Present sideshow of last year’s events to troop to recruit boys. |

7a. SPL to assign a boy coordinator to work with the assigned adult coordinator to conduct the project. 7b. Pick a specific day as approved by the church and put it on our Troop Calendar.

9. Conduct more productive meetings.

9a. Require the Senior Patrol Leader to call Patrol Leaders each week to remind them what (early in week by Tue.) their Patrol is responsible for at the coming meeting. 9b. Require every Patrol Leader to ensure that every Patrol is represented at PLC meetings. 9c. Encourage Patrol Leaders to divide up the work in patrols, so that no one person is doing everything. 9d. Hold a monthly PLC meeting.

10. Improve fund raising.

10a. Encourage all Scouts participate in at least ˝ of fundraisers each program year as part of scout spirit. Note: SM to review list before rank advancement. 10b. Raise more money than last year. 10c. CC to assign an adult and the SPL to assign a scout coordinator for each event.

11. Review the PLC manual and have a successful PLC training.
|
11a. Continue and improve on ensuring that the PLC Leadership is in attendance for the majority of the meetings and Troop activities. Provide the PLC with an outstanding training for their positions to better the Troop.
